DISABILITY 

SERVICES

Aviator College does its best to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504). The Act requires that no qualified handicapped person will be excluded from enrolling in a course of instruction. Due to the specialized nature of the training and the physical requirements of a pilot certain accommodations or adjustments may not be able to me made.  

Medical Aptitude :

  • Applicants seeking admission to vocational flight training programs must be eligible for, or currently hold, at least a valid 2nd Class FAA Medical Certificate.

 

  • Applicants seeking admission to avocational flight training programs or aviation maintenance technician programs must be eligible for, or currently hold, at least a valid 3rd Class FAA Medical Certificate.

Academic Aptitude :

Limited academic accommodations can be provided due to the FAA requirements for the Airmen Certifications.  Airmen with disabilities are required to be provided with a Statement of Demonstrated Ability (SODA).
